Boydan takes on the 'Midnight Man' 70.3

Starting on the 14th August, Belvoir Tri Club’s Bohdan Dawyd took on the Midnight Man half distance triathlon in Dartford – which totals 70.3 miles.

The Midnight Man is a unique overnight triathlon event, beginning at 5.30pm. It comprises of an open water lake swim, and laps on the only 100% closed road course in the UK for the bike and run sections. Bohdan, who is no stranger to the world of triathlon, completed the course in an eyewatering 04:27:24. He swam 1900m in 30:54, completed the 91km bike course in 02:23:09, and ran the half marathon in just 01:30:38.

Bohdan’s two speedy transitions both came in under 00:01:30. This rapid pace meant that Bohdan took 2nd place overall – an impressive feat. Of the race, Bohdan said “I highly recommend this race if you enjoy many 180 degree turns on the bike and counting lots of laps. The bike course was completely closed to vehicular traffic, which was a nice change!”
