Distance: 10Km (5km up, 5km down) Meikle Bin is the highest peak in the Campsie Fells in Central Scotland and is classified as a Marilyn - "a hill of any height with a drop of 150 metres (nearly 500 ft) or more on all sides". The term is short for Marilyn Munro and there's 600+ in the UK The path is mostly fire track with a short grassy section near the top. Its a steady climb from the car park to the top so a reasonable level of fitness will be required so that the group doesn't get split. If you can run 10-11 minute miles on trail then you'll be fine. We'll have plenty of stops on the way up.
