The Gosfield Lake Triathlon & Multisport Event is promoted by Born2Tri, based at the beautiful Gosfield Lake resort www.gosfieldlake.co.uk close to Braintree and Halstead, Essex. This popular open water swimming venue is well known within the region.

Following the success of last year, we are again offering Sprint and Standard distance triathlon races as well as the Aquabike and Aquathlon, all taking place on Sunday 11th July 2021.

The race starts with a swim, in Gosfield Lake with a rolling swim start and exiting via a beach area. There is a spacious transition area next to the lake, which forms the focus of the race. The fast cycle course is mainly on rural roads, passing through Sible Hedingham, Blackmore End and Beazley End. This is followed by a run over a mixture of paths and grassland.

Autumn Duathlon 2021

Our Autumn Duathlon is back on Sunday 3rd October 2021. Whether it’s to race your first duathlon, enjoy the scenery, see if you can beat your Spring Duathlon time or to win, just click on the link below to enter this iconic end of season event.

The Great Notley Autumn Duathlon is based at Great Notley Country Park in Braintree, with the attraction of a beautiful parkland venue but very accessible with good road links from the A120 and A131.

The race starts and finishes with a 4km run within the confines of the country park. You will run on a mixture of grass and surfaced paths, with a challenging hill included in the run. The transition to the cycle section is on a grass area adjacent to the access road. The cycle course is all ‘on road’, consisting of two 10km laps offering a fast but enjoyable ride through Rayne, Willows Green and Great Leighs before returning to the centre for the final run. The manageable distances and traffic free run course makes it an ideal race for novices.
