The club holds an annual league, allowing members to compete for the league trophies at the end of the season.

Each year we run an Open and Novice League each for men and women:

• The Open Leagues are open to all members;
• The Novice Leagues are open to members competing in their first or second year in triathlon. If in their second year they must not have competed in more than two races in their first year.

Each year, a number of races of various distances are chosen for inclusion in the League.  Members are required to race in at least three races in order to be included in the league with their best 3 results counting towards their final score. You will be able to nominate one ‘wildcard’ race not on our list of your own choice as one of your scoring races.

Scores are calculated in comparison with others racing in the same age group so everyone has a chance of winning. A list of this year’s races and details of how to enter each one can be found here.

League rules:

• All participants must be fully paid up members of Lichfield and Burntwood Triathlon Club.
• Participants must compete as ‘Burntwood Triathlon Club’ (or Lichfield and Burntwood Triathlon Club if BT ever update their records) and appear in the race results as such.
• You can enter as many races as you like. Your best 3 results will count. In the event of a tie, your 4th result will count.
• Scores will be calculated by dividing your finishing time by the winning time in you age group. The lowest score at the end of the year will win. There are two separate categories: Open and Female.
