Alnwick Tri is proud to be developing a new calendar of events. In July we are holding the Coquet Triathlon - an open water sprint distance triathlon with an aquabike option at Coquet Yacht  Club, Amble.

We had busy Go Tri years in 2022 and 2023 having put on a series of monthly events from May through to September comprising duathlons, aquathlons and triathlons at Druridge Bay Country Park and coached open water swims in the Coquet estuary which could be used as a partial warm-up to the club's Coquet Sprint Triathlon and Aquabike  with the swim in the estuary, the bike on quiet roads between Amble and Warkworth, and the run on Amble Braid. 

Unfortunately changes to British Triathlon's event licensing and registration have meant that the club is unable to put on the same series of public events this year at a sensible price point. Instead the club will be holding a very similar series of events that will be free of charge but for club members only. As the annual club membership fee is only £20 the cost per event is still very reasonable even if you are unable to make use of any other of the club benefits. 

Planned dates for these club sessions: 

• Thursday 23rd May 7pm: Swim-Run (aquathlon) at Druridge Bay Country Park
• Thursday 20th June 7pm: Swim-Run (aquathlon) at Druridge Bay Country Park
• Thursday 25th July 7pm:  Open Water Swim at Coquet Yacht Club
• Thursday 22nd August 7pm: Swim-Bike-Run (triathlon) at Druridge Bay Country Park
• Thursday 12th September 7pm: Run-Bike-Run (duathlon) at Druridge Bay Country Park

All will be free to club members (aged 15 or older on 31/12/24) and once a member entrants will be able to sign up for these and other club training sessions on the training page
