On Sunday 3rd November we welcomed over 150 competitors to Stokes Bay for our end of season duathlon.

Competitors and race day marshals were blessed with clear blue skies and a gentle breeze, a stark contrast to 24 hours previously when the local Parkrun was cancelled due to high winds !

The aim of this race has always been to provide local athletes with a friendly/social end of season event as well as providing the opportunity to introduce new people to the sport. It was great to see athletes returning for the 5th year in a row, those taking on a multi discipline event for the first time as well as visitors from London, Cornwall, the Isle of Wight, Dorset, Berkshire and Somerset. 

All competitors took part in the spirit of the race, with plenty of encouragement and support from on course marshals and spectators, helping to cement this race firmly in the local race diary.
