GTC is returning to Benmore (Dunoon) on 15th - 17th March 2024 to host another “base” training weekend, focusing on low intensity and technique sessions and suitable for ALL levels. For those who have been before it will be similar to prior trips, with a mix of theory and practical sessions, with running/cycling around scenic Cowal and swimming at the 25m pool in Dunoon (you can do as much or as little as you like). Planned sessions include:

· 2 x coached swims

· Swim theory session (technique and drills videos)

· Run session (off road)

· Steady cycle rides (quiet roads with great scenery and optional cake stops) (NOT COACHED)

· Yoga

· Basic bike setup and puncture repair (hopefully not for real)

· Some swim filming and review may be available (numbers limited)

· 2 nights accommodation in shared rooms

· All food included (supper Fri eve, breakfast/lunch/dinner on Sat, breakfast/lunch on Sun) - it is fair to say no-one returns from these trips hungry

· As much tea, coffee, biscuits and fun as you can handle with your GTC clubmates

· Total cost is £180 with deposit of £50 payable to secure a place, balance payable (£130) latest 2 weeks before the trip

Benmore is 1.5-2 hr drive (via Gourock ferry)

For those who haven’t been before, Benmore is an outdoor activity centre setup to cater for large groups which it does very well but please bear in mind it isn’t a 5 star hotel!
