Blessed with sunny skies to reflect the personality of our much missed club member, Clare Mariconda, we were joined by over 80 of her friends, family and club members for a morning of running, walking, chatter, laughter, cake treats and Mr Whippy ice creams! 

With a choice of 10km or 5km around the villages of Steeple Morden and Guilden Morden, our participants were cheered along the route by club members who had volunteered to marshal.

Once everyone was back at Steeple Morden Recreation Ground, the main event of the day could take place - the 1km run on the grass for the little ones and parents. It was a frantic dash for some and an excuse to skip and do cartwheels for others. We raised an amazing £742.50 for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity.

Medals and homemade cake awaited every one who had completed one of the distances and there was a very big queue at the ice cream van after the children's run!

With Clare's family watching on, it was an emotional morning full of friendship, memories and love to remember a beautiful soul who is very missed in the club and community.
