Today really set the start for the triathlon season for the club, starting with East Leake Sprint Triathlon near Loughborough.

Now in its 20th year, this award-winning, highly well-loved and well-organised event is perfect for beginners or the more experienced athlete.

All athletes started off with a 400 metre pool swim, then headed towards transition for the bike leg.

The weather stayed dry, however the triathletes were met with challenging cold winds on the out and back bike course.

After completing the bike course, all triathletes swopped their bike shoes for trainers where they then ran 3 laps of the on road course (5k) where they then finished with a detailed wooden medal of their race.
