Wednesday swim sessions
These coached sessions run from October to May and are open to all abilities, from those new to front crawl, to experienced swimmers looking to improve their technique and endurance. We typically have 2 qualified triathlon coaches poolside to provide guidance and give feedback, and we use drills and repetition to improve technique and build muscle memory.
The minimum ability for the standard session is to be able to swim 50m of front crawl without stopping, however we can cater for less confident front crawl swimmers if needed so please get in touch. We solely focus on front crawl technique as this is the stroke primarily used for triathlon. We do not coach non-swimmers as this requires swim teaching rather than coaching
Whether you are looking to improve your fitness, technique, or both, we can accommodate your needs and help you progress. We can provide swimming apparatus for you to use during each session, however, please feel free to bring your own.
The new programme will start on Wednesday 5th October 2022. Coach Lorraine will lead the first block up to Christmas, with support from Coaches Jayne and Janet. Coach Henry will take the lead in the new year for the January to March block.
Time: Wednesday evenings 19:00-20:00
