Championship Officer Kerrie looks after an exciting year of events culminating in the annual awards. Categories include: 

Going the Distance Awards

- Give it a tri award (Open and Female)

-Short Distance Award (Open and Female)

-Long Distance Award (Open and Female)

- The Team Relay Performance Award

The Going the Distance awards will be calculated based on overall gender and age group position, with consideration of number of participants of the race. This will allow club members to continue to submit results for qualifying races and international races. 

The Mul-tri-sports Awards 

Open Award - 

First Place - the person with the highest points by the end of the race season 

Runner Up – the person with the second highest points by the end of the race season 

Female Award –  

First Place - the person with the highest points by the end of the race season 

Runner Up - the person with the second highest points by the end of the race season 

The Mul-tri-sports awards will be linked to a set of pre-determined races that club members can choose to enter until the 30th of September 2024. There will be options for all distances and multisport races for club members to choose from on the championship spreadsheet. This spreadsheet will remain live to allow for any cancellations or changes to races through the race season. 

Stipulation for submitting race results for any category 

Anyone entering must be fully paid club members 

Club kit to be worn at the race they intend to enter the results of for an award – this can include club tri suit, cycling shorts, t-shirt, hat, buff, etc if a person wishes to represent two clubs or a charity, for example. Picture evidence of club kit may be required, especially if the person is entering the race solo.   

Club members must sign up for the event as MTC.       

Race results are to be submitted throughout the year, ideally soon after the event for calculation to be done live for members to see.  I will be keeping an eye on championship results after each race and will update the spreadsheet accordingly. 

Club members can only enter a race result for one set of awards. They can either choose to use their points in the Mul-tri-sports awards or enter it for a distance award.  

The championship awards will be transparent throughout the race season, the Race Captain and Championship Officer will keep everyone up to date with their results.   

If there are any cancellations to races or changes to events, this will be communicated to club members as soon as possible. Other races may be included to fill in for the cancelled event.
