Monday SPIN
Following the conclusion of Colin and Sarah's fantastic spin block last Monday, Spin is now on pause. It will resume in October.
Tuesday RUN
Coach Colin is in charge for week 2 of his 9 week block. The focus is endurance and strength. For the first two weeks familiarisation meet at the front of Malvern Splash for a 7pm start for a warm up and then efforts along College Road. After week 2 we will be heading to the hills! All abilities welcome - the session caters for all training distances and levels of fitness. Please dress for the weather and wear high viz. FREE FOR MEMBERS, BUT DON'T FORGET TO BOOK SO WE KNOW WHO IS COMING
Wednesday SWIM
Coaches Henry and Nick will be poolside at Malvern Splash on Wed, ready for toes in at 7pm for the final week of their 13 week block. The sessions feature drills and some solid endurance work for you which will help you build up from whatever your current swim base is. PAYG SPACES ARE AVAILABLE!
Thursday S&C
Our excellent online Strength & Conditioning classes with Coach Bill returns live via Zoom this week. There are early bird 30 min sessions at 6:30am on Tues, Thurs and Fri and a 45 min session at 18:00 on Thurs. These sessions are great for building triathlon-specific strength and preventing injury 💪 Join the new S&C WhatsApp group for the Zoom link for future classes, the latest scheduling details and more info on each class.
Weekend TURBO
If you fancy an indoor cycling option in these winter months, all are welcome to join Dave Potter's Zwift Meet Up on Saturday at 9:00am. These are 45 - 90 min sessions where everyone rides on screen together regardless of individual speed or power. You can carry on afterwards if you want to go longer, or finish early, or you can even do your own structured workout during the session, but you'll have some company while you are doing it. The time flies past! You will need a bike on a turbo and a Zwift subscription to join in. The club has basic turbos which can be loaned out to members, so please ask any of the committee or the coaches if you want to find out more. Sunday 5 & 10k CALABRESE CUP
Join Activator Pete for your choice of a 5k or 10k self-timed time trial on our well-established route. This is the last run of the season. Who will be crowned Chief Broccoli?? Trot round for a comfortable endurance run, or push hard for a PB, the choice is yours - but there will be plenty support to help you to the finish! Meet @9:30am, warmed-up and ready to run, on Woodshears Road by the Malvern Active car park entrance. Coffee and chat afterwards!
